this purchase was excellent.  As with many large purchases we did experience
a problem or two but they were resolved to our complete satisfaction.  The
problems were with the furniture itself (a dining set from Pulaski) not with
furnituregeek.  In fact, the folks at BoSmith and Reliable Trucking are some of
the most professional I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  We had
four different crews from Reliable come to our home and they all were true
professionals.  A special word of praise needs to go to Kristen, VP of OPS
at furnituregeek.  She worked very hard on our behalf to get the issues resolved
with the manufacturer.  I can't image anyone having more patience than she.
She is 100% customer focused - very rare these days.  To say she went way

I'm a divorced father of two who has become VERY frugal with my money since my divorce.  I do a LOT of research prior to making ANY big purchase and buying furniture was no different.  I went to a LOT of local stores trying to find the bedroom suit I was interested in buying.  Once I found the suit, I came to furnituregeek.com to see if you guys had the same suit and how much it would cost.  At the same time, I was being courted by DirectBuy to "join" their group and they "promised" BIG savings.  So, I told the woman I would come by but the first thing I wanted to know was how much was my suit going to cost me.  I laughed and explained to her the price I received from furnituregeek was lower than DirectBuy.  Oh yeah, and I didn't have to pay for the RIGHT to purchase furniture from you guys; furniture geek simply does business the RIGHT way, they SOLD me.  No bait and switch.  No junk furniture.  No USED furniture. No BS.  Just straight shooting.  I understand having to talk to a customer service rep to get the prices, that's the only realistic way you can protect your prices. 
 
At first, I was concerned that it would take FOREVER for me to get a quote.  Somehow, I lucked out...I got an email from a Diana M, the SAME DAY.  I called her and putting aside her incredibly friendly nature, I felt like she CARED that I bought what I wanted but it wasn't going to ruin her day if I didn't buy it.  At least that is what I thought and felt...until she gave me the quote.  Her quote was literally 32% less than what I got at my local store; she wasn't worried because she was CONFIDENT she had the best price.  Did I mention the price I received from my new best friend, Diana M, INCLUDED shipping where as the local store needed to add an additional $600 to the price.  That brought my discount up to about 40%.  The only problem I had was with the armoire I received...it had some scratches from the factory.  I wasn't sure what to do...afterall, I'm a guy...do us men REALLY care about those things?  Well, Diana M thought I SHOULD. And what did she do?  She went to battle for me.  SHE felt I wasn't treated right by the factory.  Listen to what I am saying....MY SALES REP WENT TO BAT FOR ME!!!!!  I didn't beg her to do it, I didn't cry to her, I didn't really even mention it.  Diana M wanted my purchase to be PERFECT.  Now, I have a new armoire on it's way to be exchanged...free of charge.
 
Bottom line, I'll tell you the same thing I tell ALL of my friends and coworkers....if you can get it at Furniture Geek.com, you'd be a FOOL/IDIOT not to get it there.  And if you want to be treated like FAMILY, ask for Diana M.  I know I am coming off like I work for the company...I don't.  I used to be in sales and I know what it means to treat the customer right...and Diana M does.  And when I had the one problem with the armoire, Kristen jumped in and fixed everything IMMEDIATELY with getting me a new armoire.  As I said, I've bought a bedroom suit...my leather sofa, chair and ottoman set are being built as we speak...and I'm discussing buying a wall unit next.  Do your due dilligence and come back to furniture geek.  Hopefully I won't get in trouble for this but, skip the 800 number and email diana.m@furnituregeek.com directly...you won't regret it. And when you do, tell her Mike from Maryland said hi and that you want a GREAT deal.  ;-)

We did a lot of market research before deciding to go ahead with furniture geek...one has to be prepared to do this when ordering furniture without the middle man. Even in initial calls about prices, we were always treated with great respect and we never felt under pressure to put the order through. We were simply given the information very politely by Chanda, who has been the most professional, polite and pleasant salesperson we have ever dealt with (she even sent a Thank-you note when the deposit was received). The furniture arrived on schedule. We had two issues with the order...one of which was due to an oversight on our part. We called Furniture geek and got through to LG and he immediately called the manufacturer on our behalf to help resolve our problem. He even left his cell phone number so that we could get in touch with him after work hours, if necessary. He also resolved our other little issue very quickly (a couple of screws were missing), and we got them mailed a week later. Like Chanda, LG was amazing. All in all, it has been a great experience and we have recommended Furniture geek to our friends.  We wish you guys every success. You really deserve it.

The very next day I received a call from an extremely nice young lady, namely, Chelsey. She was so helpful and at once we developed an excellent relationship. The fact that you actually returned a call was very impressive to me. In dealing with all the people I have had to deal with in the last few months, my biggest gripe is that no one returns calls. I haven't received my furniture yet because my home is not ready, but she assured me that it will be held for me until we are ready for it. I couldn't ask for any more.

Jason, my salesman took great care of me. The only reason that I am emailing is because at the same time I ordered from furnituregeek.com, I ordered from Turner's Fine Furniture (a local store). I am still waiting on the furniture from my local guy; meanwhile, I am sitting on a dining room chair and eating at the table I ordered from furnituregeek.com. I wish I had ordered the other stuff from furnituregeek.com. Thanks!

*Get Better: It would be nice to make getting prices a little easier. Other than that I enjoyed the whole experience. Web: Pretty good. The site was pretty easy to use. It would be nice if I didn't have to go search under every manufacturer to see what you might carry. If you could have all that info on your page, that would be very helpful. Other Comments: I was very impressed with Dustin. He was honest, very helpful, and got back to me with any questions I had in a timely manner. I will definitely contact him next time I'm in the market for more furniture.

Lots of higher end companies to choose from!  The sales people were quick at getting back with their quotes and their quotes were all at least $200 LESS than other online companies I have used in the past. The actual ordering process was fast, easy, and painless.
